24.2MP APS-C CMOS Sensor and DIGIC 8 Processor
The APS-C-sized 24.2MP CMOS sensor strikes a perfect balance between resolution, file size, speed, and low-light performance. It is well-suited for general photography tasks and can also record cropped UHD 4K and uncropped Full HD video. The R100 produces images with remarkable clarity and dynamic range. Furthermore, the camera offers a native sensitivity range of ISO 100-12800, enabling it to work effectively in challenging lighting conditions. The sensor and image processor also ensure fast performance throughout the camera system, including the ability to shoot continuously at up to 6.5 fps.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF Systems
The Dual Pixel CMOS AF system boasts 3975 autofocus points spread across 143 autofocus zones, ensuring exceptional accuracy throughout the entire image plane. This system also supports both automatic subject detection and Eye Detection AF, designed to deliver speed and precision in capturing critical focus with each shot.
Flexible Connectivity
The camera offers both wired and wireless connectivity options, enabling multiple methods of transferring photos and videos, as well as remote control. Physically, it features a USB-C port, a micro-HDMI port, and a 3.5mm microphone port for video recording. For wireless connectivity, Bluetooth pairing allows you to connect the camera to compatible smart devices using the free Canon Camera Connect app. Additionally, it sends GPS location data from your phone, providing precise location information for your photos. With built-in Wi-Fi, you can transfer files to your compatible mobile device for browsing and sharing on social media.
